Garrett F. Casey Jr. was born in Waterbury, CT and was raised in the Vermont area where he was a graduate of Burlington High School. After graduation in 1992 he returned to Waterbury where he began working in his family-operated ambulance service, Medstar Ambulance. Garrett has a long history of public service experience working as an EMT and 911 Dispatcher/Operator. Before leaving what is now known as AMR ambulance in 1998, he was a supervisor for the regional 911 call center in New Haven.

He is a 2000 honors graduate of Briarwood College where he earned his Associates Degree in Mortuary Science.  Garrett currently resides in the East Mountain section of Waterbury with his wife Sherri and two daughters, Madyson and Makayla.

He is a member of the Connecticut and National Funeral Directors Association,  The Knights of Columbus, the Wendell Cross PTA. and is a  communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Church,

Garrett Sr. is the co‐founder of Casey’s Funeral Homes (Casey‐O’Donnell, O’Neill and Casey’s Eastside Memorial) beginning in 1998. He is actively involved in all aspects of both funeral homes. Garrett is the former Chief of Staff to the Mayor of the City of Waterbury (2001 – 2013) and prior to that
was the Regional CEO for AMR’s New England Division, headquartered in Boston MA. He serves on many community Boards, including St Marys Health Center, HolyLand USA, Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, Franklin Medical, St. Francis Xavier Parish Council and others. He lives in Waterbury CT.

Richard T. Casey, Co-Founder

Richard is the co‐founder of Casey’s Funeral Homes (Casey‐O’Donnell, O’Neill and Casey’s Eastside Memorial) beginning in 1998. He is actively involved in all aspects of both funeral homes. He is formerly the Manager of AMR’s Waterbury and Springfield MA divisions and is married to Christa (Salisbury) Casey and has three grown children. He resides with his wife in Oakville CT.

Christa joined the staff in 2017 after working 30 years in an orthopedic surgeon’s office.  She was born in Waterbury, graduated Kennedy High School, received an A.S. degree as an Executive Secretary from Mattatuck Community College.  Christa resides in Oakville with her husband Richard.  They have 3 grown children.  She is a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church in Waterbury, is their Corporate Secretary, and over the years has served on various committees.

Keisha is a recent graduate of Lincoln College of New England where she earned her degree in mortuary science and began her apprenticeship with our funeral home in January of 2017. She was born and raised in Maine and moved to Connecticut in 2013 to pursue a career in the funeral industry. She lives in Canton with her husband Jake and their two fur babies Remus and Albus.  

Rocco Ciarlo, Funeral Assistant

Rocco has been with Casey’s Eastside Memorial for more than 5 years and is an integral part of the funeral homes operation. Rocco is a lifelong Waterbury resident, having been raised in Waterbury’s Fairlawn area. Rocco is the former owner of Ciarlo Monuments where he ran the family business for many years prior to his retirement. He is married to Betsy (Troland) Ciarlo and has two children, Amy and Matt Ciarlo

Salvatore Terenzo, Funeral Assistant

Sal has been with Casey’s Eastside Memorial for more than 5 years and is an integral part of the funeral homes operations. He is a lifelong Waterbury resident, having been raised in Waterbury’s Fairlawn area. He is a retired State of CT, DOT employee. Chic is married to Linda  and they have two children, Matt and Eric. He is currently residing on Watertown CT.

Roger Boisvert, Funeral Assistant

Roger has been with Casey’s Eastside Memorial for the past four years and is the funeral home’s primary transportation specialist. He is a lifelong Waterbury resident and is the former owner of B/H Heating for over 30 years. The father of two daughters Charmaine and Dawn. Roger resides in Waterbury CT.

Francis O'Neill, Funeral Assistant

Fonzi has been with Casey Family Funeral Services since 2004.  He retired from the United States Post Office in 2003 after 37 years of service as a letter carrier.  He has been a resident of Oakville for the past 35 years, where he lives with his wife  Judy.  He is a member of Saint Mary Magdalen's Parish in Oakville and the Washington Hill Club in Waterbury.  

Justin Muccino, Funeral Volunteer

Justin had started volunteering at the funeral home in March of 2015 and is now a part time funeral assistant.  He is a Waterbury resident and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School class of 2013.  His grandfather John F. Muccino also worked at the Casey-O'Donnell funeral home for many years until his retirement.  Justin is strongly considering continuing his education and career in the funeral industry and currently works full time as a security officer for Heritage Village in Southbury as well as assisting us.
