Condolence: Dear Russ,
You traveled your road with dignity and strength and you made us proud, as always. You were admired as a soldier, a leader, a lover of art and history, a gifted painter and a loyal friend. I loved watching you in school as a runner, hurdler and quarterback with amazing speed, grace and strength. You had a unique sense of humor and a wonderful, big grin. It was impossible not to smile right back at you. I was inspired by your will and determination as an adult and the many goals you strove for and achieved. You can be so proud of yourself and all you have been. You were one of a kind and so special. You will be forever in my heart. I know I will see you again, stomping through the tulips.

Condolence: My brother was a soldier and a talented artist. He had a deep belief in service and personal integrity. He became an admired leader who was able to find beauty in things most people did not even notice. He had a wonderful smile and a dry, fantastic sense of humor.
