Obituary for Alicia E. Messina (Galvin)

Alicia Messina, age 77 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday Oct. 29, 2016 at her home in Waterbury, Connecticut. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, Alicia worked as a hairdresser at various locations eventually opening a salon in her home. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed visiting the beach and dining out. Alicia had a strong adoration for animals and loved spending her time taking care of her pets.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tracy McGill and her husband, Bill of Seymour, Patrice Fayle and her husband Jim of Cheshire; her grandchildren Matthew McGill and his wife Rita, Meghan McGill and her fiancé Mike Palazzo and Rachel McGill. Alicia had a very giving heart and loved her children and grandchildren very much.

Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of her family.

Alicia had a profound love for animals and in her memory the family request that you provide a loving act of kindness to an animal.
