Condolence: I would like to extend my sympathies to Edna Hirbours' family. I was a student of hers way back when in 1969/70 at St. Mary Magdalens' school when it was just 6th/7th/8th grade. I was just thinking about and wondering about her the week before she had passed. I will fondly remember her and her feisty Irish personality. May she rest in peace. Condolence: It is with great sadness that I learned of Edna's sickness and death. Having worked with Edna for 18 years at SMMS, I am left with fond memories of her dedication and strong commitment to the education of her second graders. Her goal was always to help her students become independent and confident in their individual gifts. To John, Cindy and all members of Edna's family, I extend sincere condolences and assurances of keeping you all in my prayers. I have no doubt that Edna is staying close to you, for as St. John Chrysostom reminds us, "Those we love and lose are no longer where they were before, they are now wherever we are."
