Obituary for Gerald G Weis
PLYMOUTH - Gerald G. Weis, age 85 of Plymouth, passed away on February 19, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief illness. He was the husband of Claudette Weis.
Gerald was born December 23, 1932 in Englewood, NJ, the son of the late Bernard E. and Norman M. (Martense) Weis. He proudly served his country with the US Army during the Korean War Conflict and spent many years as a hardworking and talented arborist and was the owner and operator of B. Archie Tree Service and Demolition. Gerald enjoyed reading but was always happiest while spending time with his family or sharing a cold ale with a friend.
Besides his wife, Claudette of 60 years, Gerald is survived by his children; Wayne Weis and Gary Weis both of Terryville, Steven Weis and Allen Weis both of Plymouth and Marguerite LaGasse of Bristol as well as his six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Gathering for Mr. Weis will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5:00 ~ 7:00 pm at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street @ Southmayd Road, Waterbury, CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
