SOUTHBURY– Jacqueline Weiss, 86, of Heritage Village, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on March 8, 2017 after a brief illness. She was the mother of Kathleen, Louis and Douglas as well as grandmother to Matthew and Kevin.

Jacqueline was born April 24, 1930 in Birmingham, AL the daughter of the late Alexander and Marguerite (Gilard) Oliver. She was raised in the Upper Darby, PA area where she attended school and later moved to the NYC area where she raised her family before retiring to Heritage Village in Southbury, CT. Jacqueline spent many years working as a human resources director for the Bishop of The United Methodist Church and later for Phillips Electronics. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was avid animal lover and activist. Jacqueline also enjoyed volunteering for various groups in Heritage Village.

Eternal rest give unto her, O Lord; And let perpetual light shine upon her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Weiss will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
