Obituary for Arsenio F. Lourenco
.WATERBURY – Arsenio F. Lourenco age 85 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Olinda (Silva) Lourenco.
Arsenio was born on October 12, 1931 in Povoa do Forno, Portugal, the son of the late Joao and Alexandra Lourenco. He came to this country in 1968 and was a Barber for many years before retiring. Arsenio was a farmer at heart, loved gardening, making his own wine and was an avid soccer fan but most of all, he was devoted to his family and loved spending as much time as possible in their midst.
Besides his wife of 66 years, Arsenio leaves his devoted children: son, Manuel “Manny” Lourenco and his wife, Vera of Woodbury, his daughter, Manuela “Maria” Barreiro and her husband, Fernando of Waterbury, his granddaughter, Ana Cristina Quintero and her husband, Marc of Bristol and his great grandson, Donovan Daniel Quintero. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Olivia DeLima of Waterbury.
Funeral services for Mr. Lourenco will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin St. Waterbury.
